Jeet Kune Do Seminar with Taky Kimura

July 30, 2016
An affordable Jun Fan / JKD Seminar for a great cause. For the first time EVER the Jun Fan Gung Fu Institute, Northwest Kali/JKD and MKG Seattle are teaming up to offer a seminar to the public on Jun Fan / Jeet Kune Do, and the martial arts legacy of Bruce Lee, to the public, together!

This seminar is a fundraising benefit for Sigung Taky Kimura who was one of Bruce Lee’s dearest friends and one of only 3 authorized to teach his arts.

Anyone with ANY interest or experience in these arts is warmly welcomed and encouraged to participate in this rare and community building event. It is now 2016 and we are quickly, and sadly, losing access to these first generation students of Sijo Bruce Lee so don’t miss an opportunity that, literally, might be your last.

Sifu Andy Kimura, Sifu Chris Clarke and Sifu Andy Wilson will be leading Jun Fan Gung Fu and Jeet Kune Do instruction.

Fook Yeung Sticking / Push Hands Seminar

October 8, 2016
Pushing Hands or Sticking is a huge world within the martial arts. It is a playful practice that brings awareness to our structure and develops sensitivity in our bodies. It is attribute training and therefore not limited to a particular style or system, nor does it require experience to begin.

In this seminar we will cover a variety of sticking methods and exercises used at Infinity Arts. Our goal is to have our movements become more fluid and spontaneous. This happens as we respond organically to how our partner is moving rather than repeating a set of pre-arranged techniques. Drills and exercises will ensure a common vocabulary of movement as we continue into free flow and conversational style sticking.
